I’d like to thank you for selecting the recently transformed Thetford Academy Sixth Form to continue your educational journey. This is a very exciting time as TA6 is on the verge of a transformation. Staff, resources and technology will help every student achieve their aspirations. A new dimension to our sixth form provision means that we are developing inspiring contexts for your learning through ICT and a breadth of courses delivered with our partners at Easton College, Dereham; West Suffolk College, Bury St Edmunds and Thetford Grammar School.

The Thetford Academy Sixth Form (TA6) is a fully inclusive sixth form, with the aim of delivering good quality relevant courses that meet the needs of all our students. There are three broad pathways of entry:

• A’levels: Allow access to university or further education, assessment based mainly on examination throughout and the end of the course.
• BTEC’s: Allow access to university or further education, assessment based mainly on coursework.
• Entry Level/GCSE retakes: Offering greater scope for the world of work or progression to more advanced learning within TA6.

We believe that putting the right students with the right courses and combining this with a personalised learning plan designed to suit the needs of each individual will allow every student to reach their potential. We are proud of the extensive experience, knowledge and commitment of our teaching staff at post 16 level.
